Terms of Service

Last updated: June 10, 2026

1. Who we are

StreamDesk (“we”, “us”) operates streamdesk.eu, a platform where hosts publish and stream live lectures and viewers purchase tickets to attend them. These Terms govern every visit to and use of the platform. Operator details are listed in the Imprint.

2. Accounts

You need an account to host, attend, or moderate lectures. You must provide accurate information, keep your credentials confidential, and be at least 16 years old (or the minimum age of digital consent in your country). You are responsible for activity under your account.

3. Tickets and payments

Ticket prices are set by hosts and shown before checkout. Payments are processed by Stripe; we do not store card details. A ticket grants one personal, non-transferable right to attend the lecture and, where the host enables it, to access the recording.

If a lecture is cancelled by the host and not rescheduled, you are entitled to a refund of the ticket price. Refund requests for other situations are reviewed case by case — contact hello@streamdesk.eu.

4. Hosting lectures

Hosts are independent providers of their content; StreamDesk provides the technical platform. Hosts must hold the rights to all material they present, must describe lectures accurately, and receive payouts via Stripe Connect under Stripe’s terms.

5. Recordings and subtitles

Lectures may be recorded and automatically subtitled. By participating on stage (voice or video) you consent to being part of the recording. Viewers may not record, screenshot, or redistribute lecture content — access is for personal use only.

6. Conduct and moderation

Be respectful. Spam, harassment, hate speech, sharing of unlawful content, and disruption of lectures are prohibited. Hosts and their moderators may pin or hide messages, enable slow mode, temporarily time out participants, or remove them from a session. We may suspend accounts that repeatedly or seriously violate these Terms.

7. Intellectual property

Lecture content belongs to its host. The StreamDesk software, design, and branding belong to us. You receive only the limited rights expressly granted here; no other rights are transferred.

8. Availability and liability

We work to keep the platform available and reliable, but live streaming depends on third-party infrastructure and your own connection; we cannot guarantee uninterrupted service. To the extent permitted by law, we are liable only for damage caused intentionally or by gross negligence, and, in cases of ordinary negligence, only for the breach of essential contractual duties and limited to foreseeable, typical damage. Mandatory statutory liability (e.g. for injury to life, body, or health) remains unaffected.

9. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms as the platform evolves. We will announce material changes on the platform or by email with reasonable notice; continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.

10. Governing law and contact

These Terms are governed by the law of [JURISDICTION — to be completed], without prejudice to mandatory consumer protections of your country of residence. Questions? Write to hello@streamdesk.eu.
